Things To Do In and Around Narbethong in Victoria's Beautiful Yarra Ranges

  8. Marysville Gallipoli Park – in nearby Marysville you’ll find a state-of-the-art children’s playground and a stunning reflective garden.
  9. Meeting of the Waters Recreation Reserve – just up the Maroondah Highway from Narbethong you’ll find the perfect reserve for fishing, swimming, picnicking and simply enjoying nature.
  10. Buxton Mountain Bike Park – 23km of purpose-built mountain bike tracks not far from your Narbethong accommodation.
  11. Alexandra Timber Tramway and Museum – just half an hour’s drive north of Narbethong is a historic railway museum with operational locomotives. Between September and May you can also enjoy the famous Alexandra Markets.
  12. Rubicon Valley Historic Area – take a day trip to this conservation forest with hiking trails, waterfalls and campsites.
  13. Lake Eildon – in the warmer months Lake Eildon is a top spot for fishing, boating and a wide range of water sports.
  14. Trout fishing – a popular pastime in the Acheron Valley, you’ll find the fish are often biting in the Dom Dom Creek and the Goulburn River, or pop into the  Buxton Trout & Salmon Farm.
